More about the Fair For Life label
„Fair for Fair for Life is a labeling program for fair trade in the fields of agriculture, manufacturing, and trade. It was created in 2006 by the Swiss Bio-Foundation in cooperation with the IMO Group, then taken over by the Ecocert Group in 2014 to meet a specific demand from organic farming stakeholders. Beyond the inherent concept of fair price, and from the very beginning of its creation, Fair for Life has been aware of the notion of „responsible supply chains“: having a long-term vision, committing sincerely, and acting responsibly throughout the supply chain.
The label encourages a supply chain economic model that aims for the resilience of each link. The Fair for Life certification is a tool that enables the promotion and protection of exemplary supply chains, where stakeholders have chosen to act responsibly, by implementing good economic, social, and environmental practices. By following the framework defined by the Fair for Life label, producers, processors, and brand owners can secure their sales and supplies, thanks to tools such as long-term contracts that include fixed prices and volumes, and by establishing a real relationship between them.

More about wild green mate from Parana
Yerba mate is still found in its native form in some preserved areas of the state of Parana, in southern Brazil. It grows naturally in the shade of the forest. It is only harvested every two years, manually and from June to August, which gives it a higher phytonutrient content than cultivated mate. To ensure preservation, the leaves are steamed for a few seconds, a gentler and healthier process than the old method of flaming. This preserves the flavor characteristics of the mate, its active ingredient content, and its green appearance. The leaves are then dried, matured, and finally packaged and inspected to obtain a premium product, free from compounds harmful to health.
More about the harvest
Our partner provides technical and financial support to several producer associations in the state of Paranà, Brazil, who harvest wild mate on their properties, far from intensive agricultural areas, while preserving the surrounding Atlantic Forest. This mate is produced by one of these associations, which brings together around sixty families, who defend their way of life and the preservation of the local ecosystem, in the face of the advance of agribusiness.
This activity is essential for these small producers who live in harmony with the forest and harvest mate from wild trees maintained on their properties.
